As a visiting San Franciscan I found the dining room's casual elegance, open kitchen and brown paper table covers completely engaging.
The food was simply outstanding ; quality fresh ingredients, skillfully & originally prepared and presented. The modest wine list touches all discerning diner's favorites and super tasty deserts are authentically prepared goodness.
This place feels like a culinary and style leader and well suited for its neighborhood and I wish the attentive, informed and professional staff every success. -

Visited for Mothering Sunday 30th March 2014 with my mother and elderly neighbour. Food was awful we ordered roast post which was though , the graveyard was like coloured water nod the potatoes tasted powdery. I have been to this restaurant previously and found the food good they must have a new chef.
The desserts were not very good - ice cream very small potion and the apple crumble was just stewed apple itch almonds and biscuit crushed on the top.
I had hoped for a treat for my mother on Mothering Sunday but found myself apologising for the restaurant. It is a piy as the staff serving we're very pleasant and efficient.
I would not recommend this restaurant. -

We had a family get together - pre-booked for 10 people. Looked forward to a Raymond Blanc experience. Had checked out menu for Sunday 24th October. Everyone fancied the Roast Dinner, good value and hopefully something a little different from the norm.
On arrival we were told 'roast dinner' - OFF! Starters were good, platters of fish and meat. Main courses were expensive for what you got and minimalist, and 5 slices of carrot in a little white dish at £2.75 is not going to impress people who want value for money. We decided to forgo the pudding and coffee and went home to a lovely cake and coffee.
I think Raymond Blanc would have had scathing comments on this restaurant on the 'Restaurant' programme if they had performed like this.
Certainly not worth going out of your way to eat there.
